Arm warmer pattern-help!

I’m a bit confused about an armwarmer pattern. I knit 35 stitches in the round and then it says K3, p2 rep from around, slip marker.
Does any of this mean to increase? Otherwise it will end up way to small. There are general instructions for increasing but nowhere in the pattern is “inc” in it. Does slip marker mean move the marker over or add a stitch???

Thanks for any help!!!

Wendy

No. The stitch marker just marks the beginning of the round. What you’re doing at this part is the ribbing. Look at the directions after the ribbing. There should be some increases there, or maybe a change of needle size.

If it’s not clear, what does it say to do after the ribbing?

I thought it was just the rib pattern. But the opening looks tiny and it is the glove part or where it goes across the hand. You do 5 rounds and then go into the thumb opening…there are no increases or needle changes. I’m working with size 3 DP needles and sport weight alpaca yarn. Maybe it will stretch  ?

Ribbing does stretch. You can try it on once you get a couple of inches done.

Ok, Thanks alot. I just get nervous when it doesn’t look right but I’ll work the pattern for awhile and see what happens!

Are you using the same needle size and a similar yarn as in the pattern? Or getting the same gauge? Some people knit tighter than others.
