Are you a Costco shopper?

We got our coffee maker, toaster oven, and set of cookware at Costco. I just remembered the cookware. DH is the cook here.:aww: We also buy our olive oil, cinnamon, and taco seasonings there. We also stocked up on Ziplock bags, and cat litter, using a coupon we got in the mail.

I really should have mentioned books. Paperbacks are getting really expensive, IMO, at Costco they are three to four dollars off the usual retail price. That’s a big savings for book-a-holics. Hardcovers will save you even more.

The downside to Costco? Having health issues, sometimes walking the big cavernous building is a bit much, but, I can always ‘refresh’ myself with a berry freeze or sundae.

If they only sold yarn, I’d be in shoppers’ heaven!

I love our Costco as well. The $50 membership is great, my very strong prescription eyeglasses are only $200 (compared to $500 from the eyeglass places) plus they have great gas prices and happy employees!

We practially LIVE at Costco. My MIL and FIL say they are going “To the Club” and mean Costco!!

This is one thing that I will mention as well. They have an EXCELLENT return policy. We purchased a set of cordless telephones about two years ago. They went out about two months ago. We happened to still have the receipt from when we bought them (we had bought a TV at the same time). Because I had that receipt, they took them back gave me back my money!! Now if I did not have it, they would have given me back the money that it is being currently sold at, but the fact that two years later, they would still take it back?? Super deal in my book!

:roflhard: As I was drifting off to sleep last night and clearing my head this same exact thought popped in. That would so neat!! Somebody should invent a Costco with just knitting stuff.

OK, I was just checking out the Costco website to see if they sell gas and looked at the “what’s new” area and this popped up!!! http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11297645&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&eCat=BC|1482&N=4000486&Mo=37&No=0&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=1482&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&topnav=
Holy…:roflhard:

I was a Sam’s Club member for years and finally a few years ago I cancelled my membership. TO me, there is something fundamentally wrong about PAYING for the privilage of spending money. We called Sam’s club the “$100.00 Store”, no matter what you went in for you could never get out of there for less than $100.00. There was always some unecessary item that sucked you into buying it.

The savings on a few items were not worth the membership cost of the extra money you spent on things you really didn’t need.

I love Costco. I shop at Costco…but I :pout: dread shopping at Costco. Once I get there, I love it…but I dread going. The parking, the lines, and the ‘too much money’ I spend on the deals and savings.

I’m bad. I should make it my first shopping stop every week! Unfortunately, the Fred Meyer is 3 blocks from my house. Costco is a ‘safari’ event! Oh, and Safeway.com is right in front of my face. Don’t even have to get dressed!

I don’t shop at Sam’s Club. I believe it’s an arm of Walmart.
No Wally World for our household. I used to, then I learned about
their third world and small community strong-arm tactics.
I visit Target and K-Mart for the stuff I used to get at Walmart.
