Aran Sweater for 10 year old

Hi, I am trying to find a SIMPLE knitting pattern for a sweater in aran yarn for a 10 year old but not a raglan sleeve. Any ideas please?

There are some nice patterns on Ravelry for pullovers and cardigans in aran weight. Is the 10-year old a girl or boy or do you want something that would suit either?

Hi, thanks for the reply. I want a pattern that would suit either boy or girl. Looking for a free pattern as I live in Spain so donā€™t want to be bothered with chaning euros for pounds. Regards Jean

Maybe something like this? It says itā€™s for girls but could easily be made in ā€œboy colorsā€ or neutral colors.

Dropped shoulder and garter stitch so pretty basic. I think drop shoulder is good for kids as they can probably get a other year out of it if you donā€™t make the sleeves too short (or add a folded cuff)

This one is a modified drop shoulder so itā€™s just a little more detailed but still a basic sweater.

They both have female models but the sweaters look gender neutral to me.
Drops patterns are free and have some video tutorials on the same page as the pattern too which can be handy.

Hi, unfortunately I cannot ā€˜doā€™ photos as I am not very technically minded ha ha!! Must report that I finished the item and very pleased with the result and thanks again for all your help and guidance. regards Jean
