Anyone heard of this, yet?

New show on the Oxygen Network…Stitchcraft
http://www.oxygen.com/Stitchcraft/

Jeez…I can’t believe I wish I had tv so I could watch knitting shows. :roflhard: :rofling: :roflhard:

THANKS!!! I’ll be checkin’ that out!! WHe re did you hear of it??

I’ve got my DVR ready to tape it.

I think I was browsing a newsletter from Berroco, and a link to the show at the bottom corner of the page caught my eye. Thought KH folks would be interested.

yes I just saw this for the first time
AND

THey showed how to make a Tie I just planned
ARGGGGGGGGGGGHhh

does this mean I qualify as a great mind?
my idea out of someone elses head is good enough to be on TV

oh well, one less thing to get credit for

so what did everyone think of the show? I’m not quite sure, but I’m willing to give it another chance. I like that it’s not so much a technique show and more of what’s hot in knitting. But I almost think it’s too young for me (and I’m not even 30 yet  ). Oh well, maybe it’ll get better.

I forgot about it! :frowning: Maybe they’ll show a re-run soon.

Kinda like you Fibergirl—I’m willing to give it another chance but I was hoping for so much more!! I don’t know exactly what, but I was looking for something else!! Maybe we’ll all come up with the “perfect knitting show”!!

Don’t worry I taped it. So what did I think? Eh… it was like knitting for MTV. Too young for me. I liked the lacy poncho/scarf/thingy, the tie was a great idea for two color knitting and I like the idea of knitting onto your clothes (patching up holes, who knew!) but I didn’t like what they made. Too foofy for my taste. And what was UP with that whole man thing? Having Lily Chin be the MC was a little…awkward. I think they should’ve just had that young girl in there do all the announcing. Whatever. More knitting on TV can only be a good thing.

I forgot all about it too!!! But the website said it would rerun (maybe a new one) Friday pm. I hope my feeble brain can remember it for Friday.

 umm I still don’t know what I think… lol it was weird… the way they went from one thing to another and Lily Chin just didn’t seem to fit in… When I seen her as the host I thought she would be showing us techniques… I’ll give it another chance although I went to the site today they say Friday at 8pm but my Directv says another show is on at that time… also no patterns on the website… I guess you have to buy Knit 1?? I kinda liked the button sleeves idea and the knit with ribbon yarn so was wanting to know how many to CO and such… and try to knit in the rnd with no seaming… however when the tivo said keep or delete I hit delete  although I’m not sure they told you how many to CO… it left me pretty much :??

Yeh, I watched Stitchcraft in between the reruns of the Andy Griffith Show (in black and white). It was a rainy day and I lounged around watching the Don Knotts shows while working on a baby afghan.

I was all excited to watch it and I wasn’t that impressed. :frowning: It was more of a commercial for Knit 1. Too many different things going on with nothing being very interesting.

But, I’ll give it another try.

Yeah, I agree, it seemed like one big advertisement for Vogue Knitting / Knit1. I hadn’t even thought about that, but I totally see it now.
