I’m on the Gulf side of Central Florida, 1 hour north of Tampa.:sun:
hi, I also live about an hour north of Tampa (New Port Richey)
I’m in Crystal River, north of Florida too. Where do you get your yarns?
I am in Lakeland , in Polk County. I am half way between Tampa to the west and Orlando to the east on the I 4 corridor.
OO I been looking at homes in Holiday and Tarpon Springs. Are there some great shops in those areas? Whats the best thing about your areas?
I visited Rainbows End last week in Dunedin which is a Floridas largest fabric shop, boy was that intimidating.
I live in New Tampa, about 30 miles east of the coast. There are several knitters in my area and I know of TWO great yarn shops.
I’m in Casselberry, just northeast of Orlando. I’d love to find someone close by to (learn to) knit with. I’m just starting out and books & videos only go so far.
I live in Citrus Springs, on the Gulf Coast about 1 1/2 hours north of Tampa, west of Ocala. We have a great yarn store, Stitch Niche in Dunnellon. She’s been open about 3 years
I’m in Winter Springs (northeast of Orlando). I’ve lived in Orlando since 2000 but I’m originally from Polk County (Lakeland) and I still have family there.
I’ve been knitting for 8 months but I am self-taught and really feel like I am missing something from not having at least one other real-life knitter to observe.
I thought about volunteering at local nursing home or assisted living facility. I figure that there is a greater chance of finding someone who knits and perhaps I can learn from them.
I just started knitting. I live in Ridge Manor on the east side of Hernando Co. Any knitting circles here?
I’m on the East coast of Florida in Vero Beach. I’m working on my first project since I was in Jr. High school and not sure how it will end up. I started with a pattern for a Diamond Pattern Throw but I’ve deviated from it and have just started knitting and purling. I’m thinking of ripping it out and starting over. Any suggestions?
naples here…
Praise the Lord to you too…Naples Florida here
I am in Cocoa, about 35 min east of Orlanndo, we just had Cat Bordhi here sponsored by LYS. She is amazing! She just affirms how much I love to knit.
Central Florida Knitters have a new LYS, its called Four Purls. It is located at 331 3rd Street NW in Winter Haven, FL (same city as the new Legoland Florida). Winter Haven is half way between Tampa and Orlando, near Lakeland. Its a cute shop with lots of yarn, needles and notions. The phone number is 863-662-8288. The website is fourpurls.com
