Anybody made a simple men's vest? looking for good pattern

Hi! My dh wants (what next?) a vest coz sweaters are too warm inside but a vest isn’t. I did look through patterncentral but most are kind of fancy. I want to make a really simple one that buttons down the front and make it with a bulky sheepy natural yarn. Which I have. No argyles or nothin’ fancy!

He thinks he wants a pullover though. Just wondering if anyone has made one or seen an interesting simple pattern for bulky yarn.
