Cut and paste didn’t work…it didn’t carry the photo in and the fonts and paragraphs were all wrong…but I felt the pattern was worth sharing, so I did it again !

Dustina - Pls go ahead to create a blog. See ya !
Julie - Caitlin sure grow fast !
Jenny - How are u feeling today ?
Tami - Hi
Tired today. Still not sleeping much so it seems, and I can’t even get comfy enough to nap now. I feel like I complain too much, but really…I can’t sleep on my tummy, I’m not supposed to sleep on my back, and it hurts too much to sleep on my sides. We have 2 body pillows and a mountain of other pillows, but nothing seems to help.
The pains are not as bad as they were, but are still there on and off. DH and I go for a waddle a few times a day, and walking when the pains are at their worst seem to help. I’m even more inclined now to believe it’s intestinal and has nothing whatsoever to do with the baby.
Oh and on a bit of amazing news. Once a week, I get a pregnancy email update regarding the baby’s development during whatever week I’m in, etc, etc. This one I got on Sunday said that at 28 weeks, it’s possible to hear the baby’s heartbeat by placing a toilet paper roll up to the tummy and listening through that. Well, we didn’t have a handy empty roll and DH wanted to try it out. He put his ear on my tummy today and between Emily kicking the heck out of his head, not only could he hear her heartbeat, but he could hear thumps as she was kicking me.
How exciting, Jen ! The heartbeat, …not the pains…!
It’s amazing, all the information that you girls can get about your pregnancies, now !
I love the name you’ve chosen…Emily Elizabeth…that’s just so feminine !
:blooby: Good Morning Socksters!!
fibrenut~ I had a purse (I think it was a purse) that called for that type of bind off and it was neat…:happydance:
Carla~ I waited to long to sign up for the SAM5 lol…I joined the 4 and then when I finally got around to sending in my e-mail it was all booked up :teehee:
Julie~ I told dh last night to start thinking of a cute blog title :oo:
HI Jackie!! :happydance:
QOTD~ I will go to my first knitting together I guess you could call it that on Thurs…I’ve been trying to get the LYS to do something one night a week or month… they finally did something over the summer but it was Tues mornings and I couldn’t get away…They will have a Charity knitting once a month for 5.00 you can go sit and knit for a charity…anywho a lady I met at the LYS found me on ravelry…her and 2 other girls meet every 2nd Thurs for knitting time :woot:… dh is going to try his best to get home before 6 but I told them I might be a little late so I can go knit with them for a couple of hours…
Jenny~ I remeber with Isaiah not being able to sleep… I didn’t even really “pop” with him till Sept woke up one morning and my feet were no longer there… till Nov 16th I was very uncomfy…it was like he was always under my ribs kicking…once he was born and we seen how big he was the dr told me that is why you were so uncomfy you didn’t have enough room for him!! My dh and I walked every day almost 2 miles…when dad came up in Oct I took him on my daily stroll he told dh he thought it was cruel for me to walk that long :teehee: … but only 45 mins of pushing and the dr said it was cause of the walking…and I was able to stand and shave my legs still (did this before I checked into the hospital and painted my toes) the dr said it was all from the walking… so keep that up!! Of course cause of Isaiah I had a c-section with Roo…the recovery time was a lot faster with Roo and not as painful…
Well I’ve cleaned up and ran the sweeper already…now I’m off to cut some Elvis fabric…it was suppose to be curtains when I was still at home lol…
I did finish up some tennis shoe booties last night…they look big even though I made the small and the gauge is right on… I dunno how they will work out for her… I thought of making her some socks but all I have is hand wash and I wasn’t sure if she would think highly of that or not… :teehee: I’m wanting to knit my cats a mat today… they make a mess out of their water bowl… have some extra dish rag cotton and thought I’d make something up since only they will see it…
I hope you all have a great day of :happydance: knitting!!
Dustina, and anyone else wanting to start their own blog,
There are quite a few decent blogging sites out there. I personally like blogger and windows live spaces. Both are pretty much point and click editting. The one thing I like about the livespaces though is that you can put embed videos and pictures very easily. There’s aslo buddy lists and you can make slide shows of your photo albums.
If you wanna check it out here’s my site on livespaces.
fibrenuts.live.spaces.com
If you already have an msn or hotmail account you use the same email and password for it so no having to think up new stuff and tryin to remember it. Just a couple things I like about it.:knitting:
I used to use myspace for my blogging, but my ex husband goes there all the time to make sure I’m not doing anything he wouldn’t approve of (long long story) and I got sick of having to make my blogs friend only.
I have a domain (alleusion.com) which used to be a home for my pixel art, but I haven’t touched in it well over 2 years. I need to redo the home page, but just can’t find the time or energy.
Pains still on and off. I made myself really sick last night though. Couldn’t sleep, and DH was up, so at 2am I made cookies. I either sneaked too much of the cookie dough, or had a bite too many of the finished product, because I sure felt icky for a long time. Still do as a matter of fact.
Still working on the tank top…snuck a little practice ribbon through the center back last night just to peek at whether or not it would work…I think it just might ! I blogged about it yesterday, and posted last night’s photo…won’t bore you with it here.
I keep thinking I don’t have a sock on the needles, but I’m forgetting the one I started in the hospital for Dody. I’m gonna go grab a quick shot of it in the sun. I’m undecided as to whether I need to start fresh, adding a few more stitches. It fits my wrist great, but is a little snug on the calf, where it belongs. I’m making it for a shorter foot, but I know nothing about her calf size…better safe than sorry?
See, this is the one where I did a row of fagoting (from the Kaylee pattern) on each side of my standard cable. It’s still a ‘design in progress’, but if it works out, I’ll post it on my blog page.
Let me introduce you to my model…Mr. J and J.
Oh, Dustina, I always forget to write about it when I sit down here, but I was knitting today and my mind went to the ordeal you’ve been going through with your hubby !
I’m so excited that the tests were negative…and I pray that it was JUST stress…and I am so annoyed at the way that they left you hanging ! In 2001, I had a scare with a lump in my breast, and it was the same exact scenario. Friends say that if you don’t hear anything, that’s great…'believe me, they’d let you know quickly if they found anything scary"…but YOU DON’T KNOW THAT…YOU CAN’T PROCESS THAT WHEN YOU’RE FREAKING OUT ! You just imagine the worst…I really think they should rethink the way they handle that whole process…no one is too busy to ease a worried person’s mind when it comes to serious scares like these !
Anyway, long story short, I just wanted you to give that hubby a hug from me, and tell him I’m so glad he’s doing better, and I think you’re very blessed to have each other, .
…and WAY TO GO, ROO !!! :woot: You fight for that mommy and daddy !
Amen, go Roo!!!
Dotty love the sock design.
Jenny how you feelin now?
Wheny’all measure your foot for circ. to start a new sock-where do you measure? & then do you subtract 10% of that measurement or 10% of the # youd c/o based on your gague? Am I thinking too much? I just really want to knit a sock for me & not have to give it away! (because it’s the wrong size.
I confess … I never do a count…I usually look at past patterns and yarns I’ve used, and just guestimate. Of course, I’ve knitted quite a few pair now, and frogged many a beginning from it being too big or too little ! But I just factor that into my sock-knitting, and would rather take a shot at a guess than knit a swatch that isn’t accurate unless you do it in the round, anyway !
If I’m using size 1 or 2 needles, I can start with anywhere from 56 to 72 stitches, dependent on how stretchy the design is. If I’m using MagicStripes, which is more of a sportweight, and size 3 or 4 needles, I can go down to 48 stitches for a stockinette design.
Hi Hi,
Jenny - yeah, those were the days ! We were waiting for Jayne to do the “fist up” so that there will be a bump on my tummy.
Is Emily behaving good today ?
Dotty - How is Mike ?
Mr J & J - Hi
Dustina - Get any knitting done ?
Julie -
Oh, e enter button fault…
Julie - how’s your day ?
Jackie my day has been ful of straightening up the house and finishing going through kids clothes that dont fit anymore. Gonna donate them to the battered womens shelter, and then I swept/moped the floor so I’m ready to relax. Kids just finished dinner, dh is working a little later tonight and they were hungry, so I’ll eat w/him later when he gets home. Hes supposed to be off tomorrow. Probably wont get any work done on my PIF gifts then either.
Hi, Jackie, love ! Mike is doing okay…we’re learning to laugh at this crazy thing we’re dealing with !
I have to give him speech therapy, and he can repeat things I ask him to, pretty well, but I have to ask him things like …“what’s your name, do you have any children, what is your granddaugher’s name?”…etc.
Today, I just had to i.m. my daughter in the middle of it, because he told me his son-in-law’s (TIM) name was STUBBY ! He and I were both cracking up…some of his answers are so off-the-wall, that he says them and then looks at me like “where the heck did that come from?”:noway:
Dotty, it sounds like the two of you are almost enjoying this new and entertaining “adventure.” you’ve taken life’s lemons and made the sweetest lemonade ever. you really are an inspiration.
You’re sweet, LadyViolet ! You know there are good days and not as good days, but we still have each other, so there are no truly bad days. But don’t go polishing any halo for me…my mean, impatient spurts are safely kept secret as long as I’m the only one who can understand him ! :???:
Emily behaved during the day, but has been contracting for about an hour or so now. I’m doing what I can to stop it, but we’ll see where it goes.
It’s this thread, Jenny…I’m afraid you’ve chosen to join the ‘3rd baby in a hurry’ thread !
