Any recommended books on intarsia?

Any recommended books on intarsia? (I would like something to compliment the video on this web site.)

I have a book with a lot of intarsia patterns ‘great knitted gifts’; most general knitting books will have intarsia directions in them, such as ‘the knitting bible’ or ‘knitting for dummies’; gosh, I have a book of cushions that has good intarsia directions in them; I’ve not come across a book that has strictly intarsia lessons in it…Amy’s video pretty much covers all of that. If you are looking for a cool book with pattersn…‘great knitted gifts’…actually, you can look thru some of the pages of it here
You can look thru ‘knitters bible’ here

An issue of Creative Knitting from the last few months had an excellent tutorial on intarsia. I just look through my stack and can’t find it. I may have loaned it to a woman I was teaching to knit. I won’t see her for a couple of weeks, though.

The Harmony Guides Knitting Techniques has decent directions for just about everything, including different kinds of color knitting.

Ingrid…what is “The Harmony Guides Knitting Techniques” a book or an online tutorial? I’ve not seen it.

I found ‘The Harmony Guides Knitting Techniques’ as several volumes of small books. (1-4 then 5 is afghans.) I don’t know which I would want for insartia???

Knitting Techniques - Volume 1 (Harmony Guides) (Paperback)

450 Knitting Stitches - Volume 2 (Harmony Guides) by Harmony Guide

440 More Knitting Stitches - Volume 3 (Harmony Guides) by Harmony Guide

250 Creative Knitting Stitches - Volume 4 (Harmony Guides) by Harmony Guide

220 Aran Stitches and Patterns - Volume 5 (Harmony Guides) by Harmony Guide

I haven’t been able to figure out which issue of Creative Knitting I might want… (was thinking I could get in from the library through inter library loan)

Yes, I caught my typo AFTER I hit submit… fingers go faster than my brain

The one I was referring to is Volume 1–all you need to know about hand knitting.

As for the Creative Knitting, it was from several months ago, now that I think of it. There were childrens’ sweaters with ducks and the like on them. I remember that the article seemed like a good one, but as I said, I don’t have it here. Maybe someone else who gets the magazine can steer you in the right direction before I can get it in September.
