I’m knitting size small. Completed the neck and started on the ribbing & increases. I have reached the point where I have the correct 160 stitches on my needles. It instructs to place extra markers for cabling. The cable pattern needs 18 stitches but if I follow the instructions of placing markers exactly then I’ve only got 15 stitches per cable section.
You can either take a photo of that part of the pattern, or quote a few lines, just not large sections of a pattern. Seeing the instructions for placing markers might enable someone to help.
I’ve made this sweater. You’ve finished the neckline and short rows and are up to placing the 8 markers for the cables. The placement of the chart and the number of sts work out for 4 cable chart repeats for 160sts. I can go back over the numbers with increases if you need it. Let us know the stitch numbers between markers please.
ETA: Another thought. There should be the same number of sts at each shoulder. The 4 cable charts should be centered one on each shoulder and one at the center front, one at the center back. See if marking the placement of the 18-stitch cable panel makes sense of the sts.
Hi Ladies,
I got confused about making increases before or after the markers so had some of the increases inside the raglan zone. This altered the ribbing pattern and the cable zones. I’ve now unravelled and restarted. This time I’m being very careful about when to move the marker.
Thank you for looking into it and sorry if I’ve wasted your time.

Never a waste of time. It’s a lovely sweater that looks and feels good to wear. Good luck with it and please let us see a photo when you finish.
Hi colocro, I’ve worked out what I’ve done. Stupid mistake - I worked increases inside some of the raglans so they were then out of sequence too. Unravelled to neck and restarted.
Thanks for answering though. Much appreciated x
That sort of mistake is easy to do, so it’s not a stupid mistake, it’s just human. Frogging and redoing is part of the process, not a failure. You’ll get it next time!
