I don’t know if these have recently gone on sale but I just discovered heaps of patterns reduced to free or 75p, including patterns which are £4 on ravelry.
Mary Maxim has some amazing picture sweaters and afghans and really cute kids sweaters

Mary Maxim has a big presence here in Canada. In Ontario, we called the heavy knit jackets with skaters or curling players figures “Mary Maxim” sweaters. In British Columbia, those sweaters are called Cowichan sweaters.
Mary Maxim patterns are all well written. My only complaint about Mary Maxim is the shipping charges for yarn. Plus — all the pricing is much cheaper in the US.
It’s so interesting to hear about sweater fashion and knowledge from other places (I’m in the UK).
Some of the colour designs are amazing. A dog sweater where you get to choose the breed of dog from maybe 8 options is really something. Various horses, cows, birds… so much attention to detail in those designs. I absolutely love the baby afghans and blankets too.
