Hello everyone! Is anyone familiar with Ann Norling sock patterns? I have pattern #12, which super easy and my go-to for socks. Today I noticed for the first time there is a cable sock pattern and the very bottom, but the instruction is not clear to me. it references the green sock pictured at the top of the pattern describing it as a Two Stitch Cable. Here is the the instruction:
"K2P2 rib for 4 rounds, (I get that!)…then "On the 5th rnd, place 1 K stitch on a cable needle (WYIF), K 2nd stitch then K stitch on cable needle. OK, so far, so good. I can do cables. But then it ends with this “Rep these 5 round”. Wha? I feel like something is missing…Long story short, has anyone made these socks? Or doesn’t anyone out there have this pattern who could take a look?
There is a stitch pattern, K2P2 rib for 4 rounds then the 2stitch cable on round 5. Repeat rounds 1-5 for some number of repeats or some length given in the pattern.
The pattern probably meant to say “repeat these 5 rounds.”
The cable pattern appears to be repeated across the row if I’m looking at the correct sock.
Oh, I get it now. For some reason, I was thinking of the first 4 rows of K2P2 only as the cuff, but I see now the rib is continued all the way down. Guess I didn’t look at the photo, Yes, it’s the green sock, the second one in the photo. I love this forum, so helpful. Thank you so much!
