Addi turbo cord question

I used to work in a yarn shop years ago, but I was never much of a knitter, (I do more crocheting) and I remember the addi turbos being really good needles. I recently got some to try out and it has definitely made knitting more enjoyable, but the cord is driving me crazy. It is still somewhat twisted into a circle the way it was packaged. I sorta remember a customer saying something about dipping it in boiling water to fix it but being more of a crocheter (my job was to help the crochet customer’s, my knitting boss hated crochet and wanted nothing to do with them, hence my reason for quitting that job). I can’t remember exactly what they said to do and a search online has proved useless. Does anyone know anything about this, or how I can straighten out the cord.

Yes, hold the cord only into very hot water for a minute or so, then as it cools, hold it out straight, or hang it with a weight on the loose end. May take a couple times, but that should help a lot.

awesome, thanks so much, gonna go try it right now.

When you store circular needles, store them with the cord looped in as large a loop as you can. You can get a wall hanger that stores the needles by size in a large loop. Or if you carry them with you make the loop as large as your carrier will allow.
