Okay, I found Jeff’s site finally. I wish he had 40 in ones though! Anyway…I could get some 16’s for baby yarn hats though… will 16’s be small enough for baby yarn and fewer stitches though? I still find that the kid hats on the Denises really stretch the yarn on the first several rows at least. What size would you normally use for baby hats? I realize it varies by yarn and pattern, I just want a guide to start buying.
Addi needles from ebay
i have personally found that most 16s seem to be a bit too long for little babies but may be okay for a year or so. i think the 12s will be closer to actual for me but that is just my own experience of course.

I’ve read a few people post about Jeff on e-Bay. Do you have a link to his store or the store name?
Thanks!

I am not Jan but Jeff and I are well acquainted. I think I may, in fact, be paying him to be my boyfriend!
I buy my Addis from Jeff in sets of 2 – I usually start hats on one 16" circ and then switch to 2 16" circs when necessary as I’m doing the decreases. I think that ht ehats I’m about to start (for the Compassionate Knitting Project…PLUG! ) I will start on 2 circs from the beginning because they’re so small.
Jan, I bought my Addi’s from Astrid. Everytime I check out Jeff’s store he never seems to have 40" Addi’s. Her prices aren’t as good as Jeff’s but she does have 40" Addi’s and wonderful service. I got my order in week. She even sent some Dutch candy. I thought that was pretty good time considering it came from the Netherlands and it was the holiday season.
The needle length is not quite as important because I can do either magic loop or 2 circs…but what size needles? I was thinking 2 and 3, but maybe 3 and 4?
