Hi,
I am knitting a hood on a dools jacket and the pattern says k22, up1, k2, up1, k22.
What does it mean by Up 1.
cheers :knitting:

A link to you pattern might be helpful or the name and where you got it. I’m thinking it’s an increase, maybe a M1, or it could be KLL or KRL.
Probably increase sts; sometimes ‘knit up’ means to pick up stitches, but since it’s only a couple here, would mean an increase.

The pattern abreviations say Up1 , pick up loop lying between needles and K into the back of it. is this the same as make 1
thanks Ambers x
Thanks the pattern says UP 1 … pick up loop lying between needles and k into the back of it.

Yes, that would be like the M1 on the Increases page.
