Abbreviation PS

I am using a hat pattern with a horizontal cable and there is an abbreviation, PS: Pass stitch, that they use and I’m not sure what they mean by pass stitch. Cable pattern reads as follows:
R1: PS, C6F, Ps, K12, repeat around
R2-6: PS, K6, PS, K12, "
R7: PS, C6F, PS, C6B, C6F, "
R8-12: PS, K6, PS, K12, "
R13: PS, C6F, PS, K12, " and so on
What do you think they mean by PS: Pass stitch? Do they mean just pass this stitch to the right needle each time?

If you just pass the stitch from one needle to another and never knit them, that won’t work. The pattern lines up that way, too.

I did a little searching, and I think this answers the question:

eta: The stitch is slipped every round.

I have looked online and in my library and can’t find that term. I would think that because the pattern calls for that at the beginning of each row as well as in the pattern that pass stitch makes the most sense. It doesn’t give you a list of abbreviations used in pattern anywhere?
Sorry I’m not more help, but I can’t find any info on that abbreviation.
