A PullOver Vest Pattern?

I have some Paxton Classic Merino Wool Yarn in Red. I think it is beautiful. Does anyone know of a vest pattern I can try to make with this?? I just do not want a basic knit pattern, or stockinette, but I also am not an advanced knitter. Cables do not look too hard, maybe I could do those??

Thank You, and you ladies are the best!!!

I don’t know why attractive vest patterns are not more widespread.
I have been looking for one for weeks, and last night at the book store I hurriedly grabbed a book I’d heard much about, “The KNitter’s Handy Book of Sweater Patterns”, assuming that of course there would be at least one vest in it. There isn’t one.

A vest is such a great thing to knit. So much quicker than a sweater with sleeves, and yet useful as heck. It is great for layering, doesn’t produce bulk under the sleeves of a coat, and makes a person look a bit more “dressed” without much fuss.

Who knows a book of vest patterns only?

cheryl oberle’s book “folk vests” is very good – I have several on my ‘to do list’ but haven’t actually gotten any on the needles yet.

I did a search, and I found a nice pattern I am going to try. Thanks!!!

Here’s a link to a vest pattern I have bookmarked to make sometime this winter.

I went to knitting pattern central and clicked on ‘mens’ patterns. They have some really nice unisex patterns you can look at. I picked out a couple for myself, thanks for the idea.

Here’s some

Just a great pattern.

I have not tried to knit it yet but I bought the magazine just for this pattern… hope that helps…
