A little confused about sweater cable pattern

I’m making the Wheat-Ear Cable Yoke sweater from IK Summer 2007 and am now at the cable pattern. The pattern goes:

[I]Beg chart: (RS) Work row 1 of cable chart. Rep rows 2-5 of chart until piece measures 1 1/4 from beg of chart patter, ending with a WS row.
Shape Armholes: cont in patt, BO 5 sts at beg of next 2 rows, then BO 3 sts at beg of foll 2 rows.

[/I]Here’s my question:
In the chart pattern there’s a section that’s bordered in red and in the legend it’s stated as ‘pattern repeat’. So when I repeat rows 2-5 I just repeat what’s in the red border?

As for the armholes, ‘cont in patt’ also in the red border?

I took a pic of the cable pattern but i’m not sure if I can post it since it’s in a magazine.

You are right, just whats in the red box. The rest is to finish the row.

So I just do what’s bordered red until I reach the end of the row where I do the last part that’s not in red?

That’s right, repeat the red bordered stitches until you get to the end of the row/round.
