40/60 kid mohair silk yarn

I’m designing a sweater with 40/60 kid mohair silk and will be carrying along a strand of sequined yarn that is a nylon polyester blend. Does anyone see any issues with combing kid mohair/silk with the nylon poly blend yarn? I see so many knitters on instagram who are combing the same mohair with cotton. Any thoughts on which would be better to combine?

I don’t see a problem in combining these yarns. Presumably you want the sequins so that may limit your options on what to combine?
As with most experiments, it’s worth knitting a large swatch to see if you like the look of it AND washing/ blocking it to make sure the yarns behave similarly.
In my experience, cotton yarns tend to change gauge the most after wet blocking so personally, I’d be more cautious combining a 100% cotton yarn with silk mohair.

Thank you for your feedback I agree, don’t feel cotton would work with the mohair which is 60/40 kid mohair and silk. I purchased a cone of acrylic sequined yarn.
