4 ply men's vest

hi- anyone help with 4 ply men’s vest pattern?

Hi David, what’s the problem?

No problem, just trying to find patterns suitable for a fine yarn:

3.25 mm needles
28 sts and
10 rows over 10 x 10 cm

Here’s a translation for my American buddies:

size 3 needles
28 sts and 10 rows over 4 inch square

Translations always welcome. Here’s the results of a quick search on Rav (you may have seen these already). Some are close on gauge.

Of all the fishes of the sea, by the most divine is the salmonmac, to me.

When pattern problems vex my head, her advice will put to bed.

In a life of twisted yarn, Salmon’s help is the knitter’s barn.

David, you are a gem! Lucky Australia.
I’m just looking forward to seeing your photos of this project

Dear Salmonmac,

I purchased, from Ravelry, the “Kelebek Vest” pattern by Elizabeth Morrison - mainly because I like the design AND its suitable for a fat-bastard like myself!

It’s actually designed to be knitted in fair isle - I may not do that as I’ll be using a delicious variegated yarn.

The pattern is difficult - so I may have to leave it, I just realised once I purchased it and downloaded it, that it’s knit using circular needles with steeks … techniques beyond me at this stage.

Also bought this one (from the U.K.) and it will come by post sometime soon …

I like that design very much.
Crazy as steeks seem, they do work out very well in practice, especially with wool yarn. It makes it much easier to knit fair isle without the interuption of armholes.

Nice pattern, look forward to your photos!
