2-color sport headband?

i normally knit headbands in just a lshort strip of garter stitch, but that isn’t going to work this time, because this guy at my school wants me to make him a headband in our school colors (blue and white) to play at basketball games

so how am i going to make this with two colors?:??

You could keep to your garter stitch pattern, but switch colors every 2 rows. Thisway you could just carry the un-used color up the side.

Or you could do wider stripes of how ever many rows you decide to do, even a random number, cut the yarn, tie on the new color. You have to weave in all the cut ends, though.
