Hi World,
Half-Feral Oankali-Human. Minty fresh. Plant-based eater. Plays with yarn, dye, and pointy objects. Loves plants. Be kind.
Thriving in isolation, I endeavor to remark upon the day when people aren’t predictable.
My talents are many and my sorrows are few. I am currently learning to play the Guitar and the Recorder.
It’s great to meet you. I’m tomatedidwhat (my online pseudonym) and I was born circa 1981. I come from the great state of Maryland and have lived my entire life in and around Baltimore City.
I’m a Pre-Pandemic Agoraphobic and have been for several years now.
I am a lifelong fanatic of Doctor Who and related programs. I used to climb out of my crib to see Doctor Who at the age of eighteen months. When the new series came out, I was overjoyed, and when the other shows (Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood) came out, I was enthralled by RTD and Moffat’s writing. More recently, I’ve been focusing on reading and crafting simultaneously.
Requests for book recommendations!
Many thanks go to the Baltimore County Public Library, the Woman’s Industrial Exchange, and the Baltimore Free School for offering classes in Knitting and Crocheting, which enabled me to learn the basics.
When I’m not crocheting or knitting, I’m usually preparing food, reading, writing, sewing, and/or picking up some new craft and/or hobby. I maintain a blog and a sporadic podcast. I also write stories. I hope to be an author someday. Here’s to hoping that one comes to fruition because, being a person with agoraphobia, it’s not like I’m getting out much. Anyway…
When I’m not holed up in my room crafting my skills while listening to Ghost, I may be found either with my friends or at the library or the Red Cross donating platelets.
So, what about you? Please tell me about yourself.
Anything you’d like to know about me is in my writings. Those may be found via my blog either directly or in links.
Oh yeah, check this out:
“First forget inspiration. Habit is more dependable. Habit will sustain you whether you’re inspired or not. Habit will help you finish and polish your stories. Inspiration won’t. Habit is persistence in practice. You don’t start out writing good stuff. You start out writing crap and thinking it’s good stuff, and then gradually you get better at it. That’s why I say one of the most valuable traits is persistence.”
