Your suggestions please

Hi everyone,
I’m totaally new to this site, so please be gentle with me if I mess up!!
I have bought enough chenille yarn from a charity shop to knit me a hat, but of the hat patterns I’ve got, none are suitable for chinille. I feel that cable etc., would be lost in the chenille. Any suggestions as to what stich/pattern would be suitable? I will appreciate any suggestions,

Thank you, and kind regards to all,

Jackie:aww:

Generally I’d say stockinette or garter stitch so the stitch doesn’t get lost. However you could do a small swatch to see what different stitches look like to see what looks good to you.

When the yarn is textured, generally a plain stitch would be best - stockinette, seed, rib, garter.
