I looked at Amy’s abbreviations and terms and now I am a little confused. Is this and American site or Canadian because someone told me that some terms are different in the American patterns. I am from Canada and I am just noticing that now. Amy says yo, yfrn, yfon, yon, yrn are all the same then why do they make it so hard with all different short forms? Why don’t they just say yo? In my book the yf and yfwd are the same as yo but the yfrn is a little different. Am I thinking too hard?
I think you’re thinking too hard!! Generally those are all the same (this is an American based site, by the way), the only one that is sometimes different, in my experience, is yfwd which on occasion simply means to bring the yarn to the front of the work.
