Yo ten times

I am knitting along and all of a sudden the pattern says yarn over 10 times.
WHAT???

Please help me. I have been trying everything…

What pattern and designer you are working on.
It is to little to see from picture but i think it is mistake in pattern and should be
Row 3: k4, (k1 yo )10 times, k3. That will make 27 stitches

Oh thank you very much. I thought it was a mistake too.

Does that fit with your current stitch count?
It might be useful to see the row before and the pattern link.

Looking at the stitch count before and after I agree with @ZKOhio that it must surely be
(k1, yo) 10 times
as this uses up the correct number of stitches and increases by the correct number of stitches.
I’m no expert but the numbers add up so it’s what I’d go for.
What a confusing way of writing a pattern though!

Good luck with it , it looks like a very pretty pattern.

A similar mistake occures in row 3 of the Two-Fan Panel. ZKOhio’s solution works there too.
Row 3: k4, (k1 yo )10 times, k7, (k1,yo) 10 times, k3. 54sts
I’d be interested to know the name and author of the book this is from. I wonder if the publisher has an errata page.

Now I see in Pattern Stitches. Yo (inc) is one yo and knit stitch.

Well spotted! Not an error then, just an unexpected abbreviation.

Thanks you guys !
