Hi, I am starting a lace shawl that has a charted pattern. Every row, RS and WS starts with a yarnover. How do I do that? I thought yos were usually between stitches.
You can put a YO anywhere. At the beginning of a knit row, move the yarn to the front, knit the first st and you have a YO. At the beg of the purl row, wrap the yarn around the needle, then bring to the front between the tips and purl the first st.
