I am having trouble keeping the correct count in a cable pattern. The cable pattern runs side by side with a lace pattern. But, I just get started on the first row: cable pattern=28 stitches, then the lace pattern=28 stitches, by the time I have completed half of the lace pattern I am missing one stitch. I am writing to ask if it is correct to count the YO as an extra stitch?
The pattern instrtuctions say that I should not forget that there is a ST sti before, after and between each of the cables. Is it correct to assume that these stitches are not in the charts?
