Instruction given for Cr2R is: C2R = Cross 2 to the right - Knit the 2nd st on left needle but do not slip off;
then knit first st; slip both sts off together.
I can’t figure out how to get the YO at the end of the border pattern before the Cr2R at the beginning of the leaf pattern to work out. It just gets in way of the first stitch on the right hand needle (or cable needle). Any tips?
The yo before the C2R should be very similar to a yo before a knit st. The yarn comes between the right and left hand needles and then over the right needle toward the back, Then, instead of knitting into the next st on the left hand needle, you’ll knit into the second st on the left hand needle. You seem to have tried my only suggestion which is to hold that first st from the left hand needle on a cable needle in the back. This should take it completely out of the way of knitting the next st.
I was hoping it was something simple, ty so much! The stitch is just a little awkward. I think I will get used to it. I will probably keep using cable needle and it will be easier.
