Yfrn

all,

i am trying to make a scarf from darnyarn.net. one of the abbreviations in the pattern is this “yfrn”. the glossary on the site says that this means, “move yard forward and round needle. used to make a stitch between knit and purl stitches.” if i have the yarn infront of the needles and wrap it around the right needle, i’ve made a yo, right? so by that logic, do i wrap the yarn around the left and then proceed with the next stitch?

ideas?

best friday knitting to all.

all,
me and my itchy clicker finger. i meant, “move yarn” not "move yard."
maybe someday i’ll learn to type.

You don’t wrap around the left needle at all. It’s the same as a YO, just maybe one between a knit and purl st.
