Ok, so last winter I started working on knitting a hat in the round. When the weather got warmer, I put my knitting aside and started playing outside instead. Now the weather is turning, it’s getting dark earlier, and I’ve picked up my knitting bag again.
The bottom portion calls for a k1p1 ribbing.
Now here’s the dumb part.
I’ve forgotten quite how to do this. I didn’t forget how to knit or how to purl, and I could probably handle this if I was doing it on straight needles…
but what trick am I forgetting about knitting rib in the round?
The directions are for 90 stitches, and to start each row with k and end with p
I’m confused since I’m not flipping it over… boy, am I confused! (thinking too hard perhaps? lol)
If you’re knitting in the round and want 1x1 ribbing, every row will start with a knit and end with a purl on 90 stitches. Any stitch that was knitted on the previous round will be knitted and every stitch that was purled will be purled. As simple as that!
