I am going to attempt to :XX: a baby’s hat. How do you switch from knitting the RS and WS? The pattern says to knit on the WS for odd rows and knit on the RS for even rows.

And… It has six rows I repeat 4 times. Then it says next row 1, next row 2,…and 3. I’ve never heard of or seen anything with next row in the pattern? Here’s what it says

Next row 1: K1,*P2TOG,PL,REP * ACROSS TO THE LAST ST,K1
Next row 2: *K1,K2TOG,REP * ACROSS
Next row 3: rep next row 1. Cut yarn leaving a long tail…

then I seam it up and so forth…I know im probably making this seam more diffcult than it really is. Im probably not the first though. :roflhard:

When you knit back and forth, you’re automatically switching from RS to WS. They’re just telling you that the odd rows are the WS and the even rows are the RS.

As for the next row 1, etc., it’s probably to differentiate from the pattern rows 1, 2, 3.
