I wondering if a person has to go by the yarns label guage to match the patterns gauge?
IT’s kinda confusing i don’t want to do that?.
what do you guys think .do you do that?
Use the yarn label’s gauge as a guide. Look for yarns that are close to the pattern gauge. Ultimately. you’re going to have to knit a swatch to determine what gauge you get with your yarn and needles.
The yarn gauge is really an estimate or average. Start there and then when you knit a swatch you can tell if you need to adjust for your personal gauge to match the pattern.
