So I do a lot of sock knitting, and it’s my preferred project. I decided I needed a separate bag for that, so instead of buying one, I thought I’d make one. I got two skeins of different colored blues (subtle change) to make a bag, and I really like the fibonacchi sequence as a striping pattern.
So I found this bag that’s perfect for it, until I read it requires chunky yarn. If I were to use the worsted, however, I believe it’ll just come out smaller, which is what I want for a sock knitting back anyway.
Yes you could use the worsted with smaller needles (not too small or it won’t felt well, use 10½s maybe) or use 2 strands of the worsted, but that might make it too big.
That’s true it will. I’m not sure what needles are in the pattern with the thicker yarn, but I have heard that things to be felted should be made with a larger needle so sts are looser and the fibers can rub against each other to felt. So you could probably go up a bit to 10 or 10½ with the worsted.
