Hi!
I’m thinking about knitting my hubby a sweater for this winter and want to start by choosing the perfect yarn. Can you help?
It needs to be machine washable, DK or light worsted, warm, and very soft (he’s a big fan of Malabrigo )
He won’t wear anything the least bit scratchy or fuzzy so I’m going to knit swatches from your suggestions before I start the actual garment.
I haven’t knit a sweater with it, but I love Knitpicks Swish, and lots of people do. Cascade also makes a washable knit and I think that’s a popular one too. That’s all I can think of right now.
I’m knitting a sweater out of Classic Elite Four Seasons that is 70% cotton, 30% wool (so nice and warm). Worsted weight, but not at all scratchy or fuzzy. It’s handwash, though. (Phooey.) Cascade Sierra looks similar (80% pima cotton, 20% wool), and their website says it’s machine washable.
