Yarn substitution

The Scarf pattern, a Free leaflet pattern from Crystal Palace yarns and used from their site with permission it says…stitch called Lace Faggot Stitch
calls for 2 balls Cameo by Crystal palace yarns…
I cannot buy this yarn here, what would be a substitution.
The scarf is to use a 7.5 needle
CO 18sts.
Row 1 *K1, YO, k2tog; rep from *
Rep Row 1 until you are almost out of yarn.
BO.

Thank you for any suggestions.

I don’t know of any particular substitutions, but www.yarndex.com is a good place to start looking!

hmm… that seems like pretty cool yarn, but i would think that if you just want to make the scarf that you could use any bulky weight yarn.

If you really want the tubular type of yarn, I’m not any help. sorry.

This is what I found on Cameo:

Cameo - 80% Merino Wool 20% Nylon, extremely soft, 3.5-4.5 sts per inch on a recommended U.S. 9 - 11 Knitting Needle, 77 yards

I know Webs (yarn.com) has some tubular yarns. I’d try there first.

I answered your question over in Pattern Central too.
