Yarn substituting

I am interested in this sweater pattern but not in chenille and in some sort of cotton yarn. Any good ideas for substitutions?

What you do is find a yarn with the same gauge and then swatch it to see how it would look. Here’s a place to start looking for yarn that gauge. I notice it has two different gauges so you’d need two different yarns and swatches.
