I’m looking at a pattern that calls for Lion Brand Wool-Ease Quick and Thick yarn. I was wondering… would Chunky (as opposed to Quick and Thick) have the same effect? Or would I have to adjust the pattern? 
The Thick and Quick is considered a Super Bulky and has a gauge of 9 stitches per 4 inches on a size 13 needle. (according to www.yardex.com )
What gauge is your chunky yarn?

If your talking about the number in the little purple square on the label, it says 14 sts. Where should I look to find out?
That sounds like it. The Woolease has 9 st per 4 inches, and yours has 14 per 4 inches, so the Woolease is considerably thicker.
