I’m curious, how many of you prefer natural fibers to synthetic? Personally I only buy wool yarn (usually at farmer’s markets and craft shows where I can meet the sheep) because I can’t stand the itchy feel of a store-bought yarn. My knitting friends think I’m a yarn snob. 
Does anybody else have a preference?
I use all acrylic yarns, mostly because my husband is allergic to anything animal-based. While I would love to try something else, I can’t right now.

I love to buy Knit Picks wool since it is a quality I can’t find here in Lakeland FL. Not to mention the prices are very reasonable. A shawl I knitted and recently donated to the AHS National Convention auction had 3 balls of Knit Picks Gloss Lace Fingering weight tied up in it plus a few yards of a fourth ball. I got the yarn on sale so I had less than 20.00 tied up in it, but it brought in a winning bid of $100.00.
