I recently went on a trip and of course I bought yarn :teehee: I got two balls of Rowans kidsilk haze in two diffrent colours and a ball worsted weigth green wool.
So I wondered if any of you lovely people had any ideas what to make with my new purdy yarns. I was thinking about making fingreless gloves maybe with the kidsilk but I can’t seem to find a good pattern.
The Branching Out scarf would be a good thing to make with the pink silk. The pattern has a picture of a completed scarf using a different brand of pink silk.
But, I do have a questions… Could someone explain to me the POINT of fingerless gloves??? Am I missing something (I’m old and out of date  ). WHY would you want gloves without fingers???
I love them. you don’t have the slippiness of gloves on your fingers- my hands stay warm but I can still put the car key in the ignition. (or take pictures of the kids in the snow, find things in my purse, give the coffee shop the right change: all without stopping to take the gloves off, drop one, lose the other or stop to put them back on.) When it isn’t winter, and my bones ache, I use them when typing or knitting to give the wrists some warmth without losing dexterity.
Well I’m not old, and I agree about the cool factor, I love the look of fingerless gloves, but I’ve never made any, cause I always figured it wasn’t my palms that would get frostbite and fall off, it would be my poor little freezing fingies
