When a pattern calls for a YO, do you do a k1 stitch for the YO, or do you follow the stitch pattern? For example, if the pattern reads: K1, K2tog, YO, K2tog, knit to end. Do you K1, K2tog, knit one with the yarn forward, K2tog, knit to end--------or do you K1, K2tog, K2tog with the yarn forward, knit to end…hope this makes sense!
Yarn over question
The yo is only that–putting the yarn over. It doesn’t include a knit stitch.
So in this case you would k2tog, put the yo, k2tog. The yo stitch will form when you do the next one.
Thanks, Ingrid!! I thought so, but wanted to be sure.
