Yarn Holder Question

Can someone help me decipher this. Pattern is Elephants on Display from Etsy. Its a child sweater.

Do I knit the last 6 stitches of round before putting them on the holder. And when I knit the next 6 stitches to add them to the holder do,I knit them right onto the holder since that is where my yarn is? I dont know why this is so confusing this morning but clarification is appreciated.

Finish knitting the round. Then slip the last 6 stitches knit onto the holder. Knit 6 more stitches, and slip them onto the holder.

At least, that’s what it SAYS. I’d probably finish the round, knit 6 more stitches and then slip all 12 onto the holder.

Yep thats what I did and everything is fine, just so weird how sometimes no matter how many times you read the pattern you just draw a blank. All is good. Thanks for your resoonse.
