Yarn gauge trouble

I was able to get my hands on some NORO TRANSITIONS yarn on sale so I stashed a bunch and would love to use it for a project with the following gauge:

[FONT=Calibri]• Needles Size 11 & 15 [/FONT]
[FONT=Calibri][B][FONT=Calibri]GAUGE:[/FONT][/B]
[FONT=Calibri]8 sts and 10 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] over St st with larger needles [/FONT]

[FONT=Calibri]I am not sure if this will work, or if I should save the noro for a different project.[/FONT]
[FONT=Calibri]if anyone is familiar with the Noro Transitions, could you possibly help!? :x:[/FONT][/FONT]

It may work, or you might have to use a few more stitches. I found this informations on Transitions at yarndex - http://yarndex.com/yarn.cfm?yarn_id=1505 Since it gets 3 sts/inch with 10.5s, I think you could get 2/inch on the 15s. You may have to use 13s though or it could be too loose. What’s the pattern?

I was wondering if I should use a different needle size.
it’s a Lion Brand pattern for Soiree Sweater.

it calls for a super chunky yarn, but I love the pattern.

I was also thinking of using it for a cardigan on size 10 needles:
gauge:
16 sts / 22 rows + 4 in.
maybe that would be better? It’s another lionbrand pattern that dosen’t exsist anymore for the Cashmere cardi

I think it might be too tight and densely knit at that gauge on the 10s. You could knit it on 10.5s in a smaller size though.
