Yarn forward

I have a pattern that requires this stitch but cannot find anywhere online or in my books on how to do it. Can someone help? Pictures would be great. Thank you.

Yarn forward simply means to bring the “working yarn” to the front of the work, as if you were going to purl a stitch rather than knit one. YO (yarn over) means the same thing. Yarn back would mean to return the “working yarn” to the back, as if you were going to knit a stitch rather than purl one. YB means the same thing.

Good luck!
