I am starting a slip stitch pattern scarf and the directions state: CC k1 (yarn forward, slip 1 purlwise, yarn back), k1
I have absolutely no idea what that means. Can anyone explain it to me in plain English. Thanks and Happy New Year.

They’re just telling you where to put the yarn when you slip the stitch. In this case, you should move the yarn to the front, as if you were going to purl. Slip the stitch, and then move it in back to knit the next stitch. The yarn will cross in front of your slipped stitch.
My directions for a hat for a baby say k1 yfwd k2, s1,psso,k2,ywd, k1
The yfwd before the k2 seems very strange and pattern doesn’t look good.

In this pattern the yfwd means YO, so just k1, yo, k2, and then how does it go…? In the ‘s1 psso’, there should be a k1, or k2tog in there. Should it be ‘sl 1 k2tog psso’? There’s 2 YOs which inc the sts, there should be 2 sts decreased. What’s the pattern and do you have a link to it? If not, take a look at that line again…
