Yarn donation

Does anyone know of any charities that will accept yarn instead of finished items?

Try nursing homes, nursery schools, and geriatric wards of hospitals. These places use yarn for their craft days. I am sure they would be grateful for any yarn you could donate for their clients to use.

Most Oxfams in the Uk accept wool and pdsa does as well why not check your local animal shelters as some have people who knit the dogs blankets and coats for the abandon animals.
Hope this helps Nikki :knitting:

Our charity does :muah: We would be honored if you have any left!!! :yay: :yay:

Any colors, other than pastels and pinks, are accepted.
If you are interested in donating acrylic yarn drop me a PM and I’ll send you a mailing address.

That was my thought.
My sister fears that she will be in a nursing home and can’t afford yarn.
I’m sure there would be some there that would welcome a little knitting bee too if one has the time.

project linus does as well…

www.caretoknit.org accepts yarn. They also have volunteers who knit and crochet items, for the homeless, those in nursing homes, chemo patients, children’s homes and so on…

Have a blessed day!
