Ok, my boy is big into the military camo (greens). I knitted him a scarf using acrylic yarn (the yarn was actually called camo). It’s too scratchy for him. Any suggestions to make it softer or another type of yarn that has similar coloring? Or even combined colors to make the camo effect?

Sometimes yarn softens up after a washing. Maybe that’s all it needs? Really, you just need to shop around. Caron simply soft is really soft. So is hobby lobby’s I love this yarn! If you can’t find one sken of yarn that is “camo”, I would look for colors that are dark brown, dark green, and black, in order to create that “camo” effect.
