I bought new Addi needles to re-knit socks for my husband. I had size 2 and I felt like the pattern was too loose so I went and bought size 1. Now months later I am midway through the socks again and they still seem loose and I still don’t like them. On a whim I sized my needles and they are 2’s !! I double checked and I have a second set of 2’s so I didn’t pick up the wrong needles. I have the package but no receipt and the not so local yarn store I bought them at ($$) has changed hands since I bought them.
Is the store likely to exchange them?
Is size 2 to size 1 going to make enough of a difference that I should start the socks for a 3rd time if they will exchange the needles? I should add these socks will never see shoes they are for watching football games only.
