I have a pattern that say K, wrap one around need, k, continue to end of row. I knit right handed holding the thread in my right hand. do I wrap the thread around the needle bring it over the need from back to front or front to back and do I wrap it 2 times? because after I do this for the row when I do the next row I drop the wrapped stitch.
You would be doing a yarnover. You wrap the yarn around the needle as if you were knitting another stitch except the right needle is not inserted into a stitch on the left needle. You only do this once, but it makes a new stitch on your needle. The next row, you knit the regular stitch but drop the wrapped one off your needle. This makes the regular stitches longer than normal.
