Wrap and turn

my clog pattern calls for a wrap and turn. What exactly does that mean

okay, say the pattern says this:
Row 2: k 23, wrap & turn

What you do, is knit 23 stitches, then, keeping the yarn in the back where it has been, you slip the next stitch off of the left needle and onto the right needle. Then bring the yarn in between the needles to the front of the work, and slip the stitch from the right needle back to the left needle. Turn the work and knit (or purl) as appropriate. You’ll notice that the working yarn has wrapped itself around the stitch that you slipped. Amy has a video on short rows with wraps here.

However, if you’re making the fiber trends felted clogs, then I wouldn’t even bother with the wraps, as you’re going to be felting them anyways. When I made my pair, I did the wraps but I never picked them back up. It’s really up to you.

thank you aylaanne!!! your help was much appreciated :notworthy:

I didn’t pick up the wraps on the FT clog pattern either.
