Okay, here is a question about wrap and turn stitch.
I have total of 8 stitiches on the needle. Directions state knit 7 and wrapt and turn. Now here is my problem. Do I slip the last stitch and put the yarn in front then return the stitch the needle. Do I knit that stitch and then turn?
Or do I just turn without knitting the 8 stitch?
Doing a small rug with the left over yarn I have.
You would simply knit your 7 sts, then wrap the 8th. And when you wrap a stitch you slip it back to the right needle and leave it there. That’s what creates your “short row”.
What kind of rug are you making and what kind of yarn are you using?
Wrapping the last stitch like that is a little tricky. Here’s what I would do. Knit the 7, then with the yarn in back slip the last stitch purlwise, move the yarn from the back to the front around the end of that end stitch, then slip the stitch back to the left needle. At that point, turn the work. Then bring the yarn back to the front so you can begin to purl back.
