Wrap and Turn Stitch

I need help understanding what I am suppose to do here. The pattern calls it “shells” and to me it looks like an oval. The pattern appears to decrease 1 st per row until I reach 4 sts. Then M1 - Make one stitch - Using right-hand needle, pick up horizontal strand before next stitch and knit into back loop. Subsequent rows increase 1 stitch. My questions are not complete but this W&T will get me started.

My pattern is: Pick up and k 33 sts.
Row 2: Sl 1, k31, W&T; Row 3 - Sl 1, k 30, W&T, continues with Row 4 - 7 being the same.

This is a kit and the directions for M1 and the W&T are included:

W&T - Wrap and Turn: On a knit row - Work to turning point, slip next st as if to purl to right-hand needle, bring yarn forward between needles, return slipped st to left-hand needle, turn to work in other direction.

On a purl row - Move yarn to back of work, slip next st as if to purl to right-hand needle, bring yarn toward between needles, return slipped st to left-hand needle, turn to work in the other direction.

Thank you for your time and patience.
